Samuel Miller collection, 1797-1850. (bulk 1804-1823).

Letters, receipts, a sermon, a bound volume baptism registry (40 p.), and collected autographs pertaining to Rev. Samuel Miller. Letters range in date from 1797 to 1859. Receipts from Andrew Morrell and William King, connected to the building of Miller's house, date from 1895-1809. Baptism registry covers the years 1804 to 1809, and is accompanied by a typescript transcription. Autographs include the following: Charles Richard Sumner, Bishop of Winchester; John Bird Sumner, Bishop of Chester; William Howley, Archibishop of Canterbury; Daniel Wilson, Bishop of Calcutta, and Daniel Wilson Jr., his son; Samuel Charles Wilks, editor of the Christian Observer; Charles James Blomfield, Bishop of London. Also includes an inventory of the estate of Edward Miller, Samuel Miller's brother, a physician who died in 1812.
